Yesterday, the M Technologies team presented its sports programme for 2011, which promises to be a great show! This one is based on two themes dear to the company: performance through construction and innovation, and the detection/training of young talents in partnership with the Roger Claustres high school. Thus, the young technicians in training will accompanyThroughout the season, the young technicians in training will accompany a promising young French driver spotted by the team: Mehdi Bonnaud, Vice-Champion of France Single Seater Auto-Cross.
The Auvergne structure, double French Rallycross Champion in 2009/2010, has not been idle during the off-season. MTechnologies is also proud to announce its new driver, Timmy Hansen, the son of the multiple European Rallycross Champion, Kenneth Hansen. Timmy, 19 years old, who is making a name for himself in motor racing (Formula BMW, and in 2011 Formula Renault, elected to the FIA Institute Young Driver Excellence Academy), is delighted to have the opportunity to drive a WRC in one of the most competitive national championships. He will be driving Marc Laboulle's Xsara WRC in the first round of the French Championship on the Dreux circuit on 23 and 24 April. An excellent car, a recognised championship and one of the best teams in France are the reasons for the young Swede's decision. His only rallycross experience was at the wheel of a Suzuki Swift in Great Britain last year. Rallycross is made up of intensity, it is a sprint discipline, on changing surfaces, which requires multiple qualities, including vivacity, especially at the start, with such powerful cars. Stéphane Orré, manager of MTechnologies, sees it as a symbol of the growing rapprochement between the two teams, which are already collaborating on the construction of WRC. We are flattered that Kenneth and Susann have enough confidence in us to let their own son drive one of our cars. This car will be the perfect tool on this circuit for Timmy's first time in a SuperCar. We are sure that he will have a lot of fun and learn a lot. He can count on our whole team to support and advise him, as we do with our young drivers.
As for Marc Laboulle, he will compete in the European Rallycross Championship at the wheel of the C4 WRC and will start the season in England at the Lydden Hill circuit from this weekend.
M Technologie likes to underline that team spirit is everything in this sport, and it proves it by their results and their evolution these last years. Millmatpro congratulates them and thanks them for their welcome. We wish them a great national and international season and will not fail to talk about it again very soon!
